Voices
Found: The
Women's Sacred Music Project, celebrates the release of Voices
Found: Women in the Church's Song, their new hymnal published by
Church Publishing, Inc. with three Advent, 2003, performances in
the mid-Atlantic region.
Voices Found is directed by Lisa Neufeld Thomas, President;
and Robert A. M. Ross, associate director. Featured artists include
Ilana Davidson, Diane Severson, Henrietta Morgan, Lourin Plant, Jane
Foster, Carla Mariani, Cynthia Folio, Sharon MacCabe, and Jan
Christensen
Sunday, November 30, 3:30 PM, The Washington National Cathedral,
Washington, DC: a short concert of seasonal music of women
before Evensong. The Lady Chapel Singers with Kate Rogers, harp.
Free admission.
Wednesday, December 3, 7:00PM, Rosemont College Chapel,
Rosemont College, Rosemont, PA: full length concert, "Advent
Voices," featuring music by Andrea Clearfield, Elizabeth Jacquet de
la Guerre, Margaret Bonds, Hildegard of Bingen, and seasonal music
by historic and contemporary women composers. Reception follows.
