Lise Westzybthius

(born in 1975, in Aarhus, Denmark), composer. She is a former member of the bands Luksus and Rhonda Harris, and has been a solo artist since 2002. She has released seven solo albums and with bands. She has worked with numerous artists such as Sebastian, Nikolaj Nørlund, Peter Sommer, Rosa Lux, and Heidi Mortenson.

Lotta Wennäkoski

Lotta Wennäkoski (1970, Helsinki, Finland) studied composition at the Sibelius Academy and got her diploma in 2000. Her main teachers have been Eero Hämeenniemi, Kaija Saariaho and Paavo Heininen. In the years 1998-99 she studied with Louis Andriessen in the Netherlands. Her debut concert took place in Musica Nova Helsinki festival in 1999. Her orchestral piece Sakara was commissioned by Esa-Pekka Salonen, who also conducted the premier with Helsinki Philharmonia in 2003. Her stage work N! (Woman's love and life) was premiered in Helsinki Festival also in 2003, and was nominated for the Nordic Council Music Prize the next year. More recent performances of her works include the premier of the flute concerto Soie by Petri Alanko and the Finnish RSO in 2009, and the mini opera Lelele at the Musica Nova Helsinki 2011, performed by soprano Pia Freund and Plus Ensemble. She was the artistic co-ordinator of Tampere Biennale festival 2008-2010. A CD of her chamber music, Culla d'aria, was published 2008 by Alba Records.

Manon-Liu Winter

(born in Austria, resident in Vienna)  performer, improviser and composer. She studied piano performance at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts. Her master’s thesis was about “Amarchy in der Kunst am Beispiel John Cage” (Anarchy in Art as Exhibited by John Cage), and received her “Habilitation” (post doctoral degree) in piano in 2002. She is an instructor at the Vienna Days of Contemporary Piano Music as well as the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. She has given numerous concerts all across Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Her compositions  are mostly for piano with added electronics such as Trains (for the turning Sound Festival in Warsaw and Player Piano Konfrontationen Nickelsdorf, 2006) and Here We go (for the Nownow Festival in Sidney, 2007), or it arose from collaborative efforts with improvising musicians.
