Mariona Vila Blasco

(born in 1958 in Barcelona, Spain). Composer, singer and teacher. She studied music at the High Municipal Music Conservatory in Barcelona. In the field of composition, she has completed several works for diferent groups, and has also composed a great deal of pieces for children, for the movies, and the stage. As an actress, she has acted in many theatres across Catalonia in the operatic productions of E.O.B. and has participated as a soloist in several vocal groups. She has carried out an intense teaching activity in piano and chamber music at various centers throughout Barcelona. Since 1989 she has been the director of the Palau Music School in Barcelona. She has earned several prizes and recognitions for composition and has recorded and published several works for voice and instrumentation, and a large number of educational material, such as special-issue articles in music magazines.

Mika Vember

(born in Lower Austria, resident in Vienna), composer. She released her debut album, Now or Now, in April 2007. Vember has performed in Austria and abroad (Canada, Germany, France). Her main focus lies on her powerful compositions, which are presented live solo or with band. She is supported by Alexander Nefzger (accordion, keyboard), Martina Winkler (accordion) and Börn (backing vocals, “suitcase percussion”). In addition to her solo project, she is also active as a percussionist (Clara Luzia) and supports various ensembles with her unmistakable voice.

Monika Vejvodova

(born in 1975 in Prague),composer. She studied composition with Bohuslav Rehor, Ivana Loudova, and Jurai Filas.
Selected works: Solo instruments and piano works: Dreamy Suite for Piano; Miniatures for Flute. Chamber music: Melancholy Duets for viola and cello; Dialogo per Tre, for string trio. Orchestral works: Romance for Chamber orchestra. Vocal composition: Cantata about the Birth of Virgin Mary.
