Paula Traver Navarro

(born on 8th December 1980 in Burriana, Spain). Composer, pianist and teacher. She obtained the Higher Degrees in Composition and Piano at the Conservatory of Music. Subsequently took courses with Sánchez-Verdú, Jean-Claude Risset and Alberto Posadas. She perfected her compositional technique with Leonardo Balada. She also has a degree in Humanities with Honours Thesis, University Jaume I (Castellon). Her composition "Ciclo del agua" was selected by the Huihuihuimúsica SGAE contest, to be premiered in Valencia by Carlos Amat and recorded. In November 2010, the Provincial de Castellón devoted a monograph on her work, where three compositions for chamber ensemble were premiered. Other electronic and solo works were also heard in Ontinyent, Rafelbunyol and Burriana and broadcast on British radio at 102.5FM Sound Art, Hildegard to Hildegard of Ariane Dealunois program. In 2010 she premiered her work "Samarkanda" in the Palau de Valencia. Her publications include the book "El ruido como recurso expresivo en la composición musical", edited by Piles, several scores published in La Mà de Guido, as well as two books on the painter Traver Road. She has been a professor at the Conservatory of Lliria, in the Cultural Center Rafel Marti de Viciana (Burriana), Joaquin Rodrigo Conservatory (Sagunto) and she currently teaches at Union Musical Santa Cecilia Conservatory (Onda).
