Charlotte Seither

(31st August 1965 in Landau/Pfalz in Germany) works with important institutions and interpreters such as BBC Symphony Orchestra London, Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart, ASKO Kamerkoor Amsterdam and Ensemble Modern. Her works have been played at important international festivals such as Gaudeamus Amsterdam, Prague Spring, Warsaw Generation-Festival or IFWM Festival Seoul. In 1998 she received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy and participates in international symposiums and competition juries. As artist in residence she lived and worked Cité des Arts Paris (1999), Villa Aurora Los Angeles (2000), Akademie Schloss Solitude Stuttgart (1995) and in Palazzo Barbarigo Venice (1993). In 2009 she received a one-year fellowship for the Deutsche Akademie Villa Massimo in Rome. She has won international prizes and honours: Praetorius Music Prize 2010 of the County Lower Saxonia.
