Alicia Santos Santos

(born on 7th October 1958 in Madrid, Spain). Composer, pianist, harpsichordist and teacher. She studied music at the Royal Music Conservatory in Madrid, where she earned advanced degrees in pianoforte and composition. Since 1986, dedicated to education. She is currently composition professor at the "Joaquín Turina" Professional Music Conservatory in Madrid and member of the Carlos III University Choir in Madrid. After several years, she took up composition and is particularly interested in vocal music, choral and solo, as well as small agrupations and solo instruments. She is the author and translator of the book: Analysis, Composition and Musical Forms. She defended her research "The harmonic ear training with the training of music" and she is now preparing her doctoral thesis on the auditory training methodology.
