Şirin Soysal

Singer, songwriter, and actress in Turkish decent was born at Vienna, 1980. She is a graduate of drama and theatre studies from Trinity College Dublin, where she also completed her master in film. She has acted in various plays and performed musical roles in the Dublin Fringe Festival, as well as directing for the stage. After college she worked in the film sector for a while before she decided to go back to her ‘true calling’, music and the stage. Having begun her vocal training with Mustafa Yurdakul in her highschool years, she later continued with Tamara Nizhnikova and Randy Esen. Along with the ability to sing in four languages, her voice and sound allow for a flexible repertoire, ranging from jazz to cabaret, chansons to tango, and pop to alternative music.

Sofia Sousa Rocha

Was born in 1986, in Braga. She started studying piano at the age of seven, enrolling four years later at the Conservatório de Música Calouste Gulbenkian in Braga. She studied violin with Manuel António Sá. In 2001 she started her first Composition studies with Paulo Bastos at the Conservatory of Braga, where she also studied Electroacoustic. In 2004 she successfully applied to the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa (ESML) to complete a First Degree in Composition. Recent activities include the composition of new pieces commissioned from the Young Musicians Prize, promoted by Antena 2 – Portuguese Radio Broadcast and Alcobaça Music Festival. She has also participated in the II Reading Panel of Orquestra do Algarve. She is currently teaching musical analysis and composition at the Escola de Música do Orfeão de Leiria / Conservatório de Artes.

Stefania Spadini

Osimo (AN), si diploma in composizione al conservatorio ―F. Morlacchi di Perugia con F. Sulpizi. Si perfeziona con A. Samorì, G. Cappelli, G. Manzoni, A. Solbiati e R. Pregadio. Ha scritto l’arrangiamento per il musical Peter Pan tenuto al Marymount School di Parigi e composizioni da camera e corali: Primavera, Improvisation, The Peace and the War, Portami al grande fiume, etc. Sue composizione sono state eseguite dall’Accademia Filarmonica di Bologna nella rassegna di composizione ―A. Gigli. Collabora con M. Werba nell’orchestrazione di brani musicali da film e nell’organizzazione di concerti incentrati su questo repertorio. Nel 2000 vince il VII Concorso Internazionale di Composizione per le Feste Triennali del SS. Crocifisso con il brano per voci miste Il Totalmente Altro, eseguito a Roma dai cori della Cappella Musicale Giulia di San Pietro e dell’Accademia Filarmonica Romana, diretti da Mons. P. Colino. Nel 2001 viene invitata dal Ministro dei Beni ed Attività Culturali al I Convegno Nazionale ―Donne nelle Arti quale autrice del brano Children’s games. Ha pubblicato per le edizioni Agenda e Chiola Music.
