Carla Rebora

Carla Rebora (1973, Genova, Italy) graduated in piano under the direction of Anna Maria Bordin and in composition with Paul Ferrara. After a brief period of study with Daniel Bertotto she has completed her studies with Mauro Boniface at the Foundation "Romano Romanini" in Brescia. She has studied with Azio Corghi obtaining the Diploma di Merito from the Accademia Musicale Chigiana and the Diploma di Alto Perfezionamento from the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome; she as well obtained a second degree in composition. Among others, she won the International Competition of Composition of “Settimane musicali di Stresa e del Lago Maggiore” in 2003 with the score “karumi kana”, performed for the first time by the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai conducted by Gianandrea Noseda at the opening concert of the 42th Festival of Stresa. Her compositions are published by “Rai Trade” and by SIMC-SCONFINARTE by Casa Editrice “Berben”. She teaches complementary harmony at the Istituto Superiore di Studi Musicali di Gallarate.
