Maria Teresa Roig Ferrer

(born on 11th April 1952 in Barcelona, Spain). Composer, pianist, and professor. She completed her Masters at Barcelona High Music Conservatory where she earned degrees in piano, chamber music, solfeo, music theory and transposition, harmony, counterpoint and composition. She extended her studies through seminars at the Barcelona Autonomous University where she completed her doctorate. Her career in piano has earned several awards. Member of the Catalan Composers Association. Her works have been performed by many groups. In the field of teaching, she was a Orfeó Catalá professor at the Catalan Music Palace from 1972 to 1980, and from 2000 to 2004 was the Barcelona High Music Conservatory director. Among her compositions are electro-acoustic experimentations, for dance and concert.

Marina Romani

(Nettuno, Roma 16 agosto 1966), didatta, compositrice. Si diploma dapprima in pianoforte e poi in composizione dopo aver seguito il Corso di Scuola Sperimentale di Composizione presso il Conservatorio Santa Cecilia di Roma sotto la guida di Gian Paolo Chiti. Da molti anni lavora nell'”Associazione Musicale e Scuola di Musica PentaQuinte” come insegnante del corso di Solfeggio e Teoria e del corso di Armonia. Collabora con il “PentaQuinte Ensemble”, curando le trascrizioni dei programmi da concerto, ed anche con l’”Ensemble Junior” e con vari gruppi di musica d'insieme, formati dagli allievi della scuola nelle attività didattiche. Sue composizioni sono state eseguite in Italia in Festival e Stagioni Concertistiche quali quelle organizzate presso gli “Amici della Musica” di Cagliari (stagione concertistica 2002), la “Pontificia Università Lateranense” di Roma (2002, musiche di scena per lo spettacolo "Domani sarà grano"), l'”Università di Tor Vergata” di Roma (“Festival di Musica Elettroacustica Contemporanea”, 2003). Nel 2005 ha vinto il I Premio del “Concorso Nazionale di Composizione Musicale per la Scuola di Base” (quinta edizione) di Padenghe sul Garda, ed è stata finalista al “Concorso di Composizione per Coro” organizzato dalla Comunità Evangelica Luterana di Napoli.

Marina Rossel

(born on 17th January 1954 in Gornal, Spain). Singer and songwriter. She has sung traditional and revolutionary classical Catalan songs, habaneras and her own compositions. In 1976 she released her debut album "Si volieu escoltar", arranged by Llach, which compiled Catalan folk songs. The album "Penyora" (1979) (Frames Silver Award) achieved the success that made her famous. In December 2007 she recorded "Clàssics Catalans", disco, co-produced by Marc Parrot, distributed in many European countries. On September 11, 2008 Rossell sang in the Gran Teatro del Liceu in Barcelona, a special concert (Marina Rossell al Liceu. de la Renaixença als nostres díes), recorded live on DVD. In December 2011 she recorded "Marina Rossell canta Moustaki", an album tribute Georges Moustaki. She has made numerous tours in Europe, Latin America, Northern Africa and has collaborated with such diverse artists as: Georges Moustaki, Montserrat Caballé, Luis Eduardo Aute, Carlos Cano, Pedro Guerra and the flamenco guitarist Tomatito.

Awards: In 1988 the Generalitat de Catalunya awarded her the Creu de Sant Jordi, in 2006 she was named Honorary Member of the American Forum for the Arts and in 2007 he was honored as Distinguished Visitor of the City of La Plata (Argentina). She has also received the Olof Palme Prize for their support for peace. In 2009 she was awarded the XIII Music Awards of Spain in the category of Best Traditional Music Album.
