Montserrat Pujolar i Giménez

(born on 14th December 1938 in Ripoll, Spain). Composer, teacher and librarian. She began her musical career at the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona and was granted a scholarship to perform virtuosity and improvement studies abroad. She was appointed as adjunct professor of the chair of music at the Escola Normal. She holds degree in teaching, high school teacher and librarian. She has composed sacred music, choral songs, poems set to music and, particulary, Sardanas. She also composed the anthem of the millennium of the Monastery of Ripoll and the anthem of Catalonia in Miniature. In 2006 she decided not to continue in active status as composer.
