Milena Perisic

(born in 1963 in Split, Croatia, resident in Canary Islands, Spain). Composer, pianist and teacher. She studied composition, piano and choir direction at the conservatory of Split at the Music Academy of Zagreb and University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, USA). She has been professor and head of department of composition Musikene-Superior Music Center of the Basque Country and the Conservatory of Music in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. In 2007 created the group Urania. She has composed many works of chamber music, lieder, music for film, theater and music for children, having been premiered in Spain, Finland, USA, Croatia, among others.
