Roumi Petrova

(born in Bulgaria, resident in New York), composer. She graduated from the Academy of Music and Dance Art in Piovdiv, Bulgaria, and completed another  Master of Music degree at the University of Pretoria, South Africa, where she also worked as  a full time orchestra musician. As a chamber musician, she has toured the United States, UK, France, Switzerland, Bulgaria and Greece. At present, Roumi Petrova lives in New York. She performs with the Forte String Quartet, Bulgarian Piano Quartet, Westchester Chamber Orchestra and other ensembles. Roumi Petrova is author of Molto Facile Music School. As an active educator, she has created of a number of educational programs, including Petrovart Educational Series and the musical Alex in Stringland. Mrs. Petrova started composing in her early 20s, her favourite medium being chamber ensembles, particularly the string quartet. She works in close collaboration with her colleagues from the Forte String Quartet, taking inspiration from their fine musicianship. The quartet, which has been performing for more than a decade, often features her compositions in their concert programs. Roumi Petrova’s compositions have been performed in major music halls in New York, London and Moscow. Her music has been broadcasted on WNYE, the Voice of America and Radio Free Europe. The first CD with original compositions of Roumi Petrova, named Project Bacillus Bulgaricus, was released in May 2003.
Selected Works: 5 string quartets, a piano quartet, cello sonata and an overture for a symphony orchestra, which was commissioned for the 20th Anniversary Gala of the Long Island Chamber  Music Festival, as well as many short instrumental pieces. Her music was featured in Destinien, a documentary by Eleonora Konstantinova.

Silvia Pellegrino

Cantante, compositrice. Ha studiato con musicisti di fama mondiale come Steve lacy, Mal Waldron, Mark Murphy, Bob Stoloff, Roger Treece, Fabien Maman, Norma Winston, Don Mc Farland, Josephine Estil, Vianna Stibal, Emilie Conrad. Ideatrice, nel 1994, di "Avorio" un ensemble jazz, conduce i corsi estivi di formazione musicale jazz, organizzati dal comune di Murazzano (To).Ha collaborato con l'associazione CMC per i progetti “Art studio” e “Vocal desires”.

Simona Premazzi

(Busto Arsizio, 22 Aprile 1975), pianista, compositrice, arrangiatrice. Studia pianoforte all‟Istituto Musicale“Giacomo Puccini”di Gallarate e nel 1996 al Conservatorio“Jacopo Tomadini”di Udine. Nel 2003 si trasferisce a New York dove studia con Jason Moran e Jean Michel Pilc. Ha partecipato con il gruppo“Simona Premazzi 4et” al “Break in jazz”, a “Orchestre senza confine”, al “Varese Open Jazz Festival”. E‟membro della “Civica Jazz Band” diretta da Enrico Intra e ha collaborato con Tiziana Ghiglioni. Ha insegnato pianoforte e tastiere presso l‟ "Accademia di Musica Moderna" di Milano e in altre scuole. E' tra i solisti, insieme a Enrico Intra, Franco Cerri, Marco Fumo, del lavoro discografico "New Perspectives". Nel 2006 è uscito il cd "Looking for an Exit" con Joe Sanders. Tra le sue composizioni: Smokersion, Junkie paper dragon, Four o’ clock, B.R.A.D., Prayer for Robert, The words not said, Looking for an exit, The braider, Hanging out with J.C., Lil’ umbrellas.
