Marcela Pavia

(Rosario, Argentina 6 Maggio 1957) da molti anni residente a Milano. Si è laureata in Composizione presso l‟Università Nazionale di Rosario. Si è perfezionata con diversi maestri tra cui Franco Donatoni, Georgy Ligeti ed Ennio Morricone. È stata artista invitata (“artist in residence”) presso il “Virginia Center for the Creative Arts” (USA). Ha svolto inoltre ampia attività come insegnante sia in Argentina che in Italia, affermandosi in diversi concorsi nazionali e internazionali e conseguendo diversi premi e riconoscimenti È ospite di manifestazioni importanti in Italia, Argentina, Olanda, Ukraina, Usa e China e da importanti ensemble quali il North/South Consonance di New York, il CUBE Ensemble di Chicago, la Kiev Philarmonic Orchestra. Ha ricevuto commissioni dall‟Ensemble Barcelona Nova Musica, dalla Fondazione Adkins Chiti, dal Duo 46 (USA), dal Piano Guitar Duo (Olanda), da Thomas Rosenkranz (USA). Tra i suoi lavori: Nayla, per flauto solo; Pain is not linear per pianoforte; Fideal per chitarra sola; l‟opera multimediale Danzando attorno all‟Uno e Tupac Amaru per due chitarre.

Maria Amèlia Pedrerol i Busquets

(born in Barcelona, on 25th June 1950). Singer and songwriter. She was the youngest member of the group Els Setze Jutges, pioneers of the Nova Cançó in Catalonia. At fourteen she joined the group and recorded her first album with the title (4 cançons dels 14 anys, 1965), an EP that includes four original compositions. The following year, in 1966, an LP titled "Recital Maria Amèlia Pedrerol" was published with eight themes, four of their own songs and four French songs, which were translated by Delfi Abella and Josep Maria Espinàs. She retired from the stage coinciding with the dissolution of the group.

Awards: In 2007, she received the Medal of Honor from the Catalan Parliament for her cultural work as a member of Els Setze Jutges.

María Cristina Pascual Noguerol

(born on 5th March 1971 in Barcelona, Spain). Composer and architect. She gained an architectural degree at the Universidad Simon Bolivar (Caracas, Venezuela, 1996), as well as a Master in Interior Design with specialization in Acoustics at the Universidad de Salamanca (Salamanca, Spain, 2000). She completed her musical formation with a degree in Composition at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid (Madrid, Spain, 2006), while attending student exchanges and composition competitions at the same time. She has won the Reina Sofia scholarship in Madrid. Her project "Arquitectura y musica: elementos comunes traducidos en una composición musical a través del análisis y estudio del Panteón de Roma" (Architecture and music: common elements translated into a musical composition through the analysis and study of the Pantheon in Rome) was given a grant from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Spanish Cooperation for further studies at the Royal Academy of Spain Rome. As an architect, she has worked successively in architectural and engineering offices, in addition to her work as a teacher of Descriptive Geometry at the Universidad Simon Bolivar in Caracas (2008-2012).

Awards: Dresdner Sinfoniker-Volkswagen, Luxembourg Sinfonietta, the Young Composers SGAE (2005) for her work "Estructura fractal" and Jacinto e Inocencio Guerrero prize.
