Vera Milanković

(London, 11th March 1953), composer, pianist and pedagogue, graduated from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade. A world-renowned educator and researcher, she is currently engaged in an important project regarding traditional instrumental and vocal Serbian music, research which she incorporates in lectures and compositions and she also gives many concerts (with live performances, recordings, and published works). Milanković works in the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, in the department for music theory, and has a special interest in music pedagogy and science. She is also the founder and director of the Pedagogical Forum, an international annual symposium of music and drama professionals. Her papers have been presented at the ESCOM (European Society for Cognitive Sciences of Music), ICMPC (International Conference of Music Perception and Cognition), SRPME (Society for Research in Perception of Music and Education) and CIMO (Conference of Interdisciplinary Musicology) meetings. She is on the Editorial board of the literary quarterly, Vukova zaduzbina, and is a member of the Association of Composers in Serbia and the Music teachers Association of Serbia. Amongst her works: Sonata for violin, cello and strings, Suite Stratinščica, for soprano, female chorus and chamber orchestra, Concert for piano and orchestra, Sonata for violin and cello, Two songs after Blake, Anagnorisis, for symphony orchestra, songs for children.

Veronica Mortensen

(born in Aarhus, Denmark), composer. She was raised by her mother in Athens. When she was twenty years old, she moved back to Denmark to pursue a singing career. She studied at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus and gained a diploma at the Rhythmic Conservatory of Copenhagen. Besides her studies, she has performed on several CD's and TV shows, both as a lead singer and as a background vocalist. Her 2 albums Pieces In A Puzzle (2003) and Happiness... is not included (2007) received fine reviews by the press and were both chosen for Album of the week by the Danish National Radio (DR). The albums generated concerts in Denmark and abroad, among them in Sweden, Greece, Spain, Poland, Thailand and China. Lately she has been working with several Big Bands, in Denmark and Sweden. Her latest album I'm The Girl (2010), is a live recording together with Klüvers Big Band from Aarhus (Denmark).

Veronika Mayer

(born in 1977, in Vienna), composer. She studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. Mayer studied instrumental and vocal pedagogy under Jochen Köhler, computer music and electronic media under German Toro Perez, composition under Detlev Muller- Siemens and electro-acoustic composition with Karlheinz Essl. She has collaborated in the areas of sound transmission and live electronics for various productions, among them at the Vienna Burgtheater, the Lower Austrian Danube Festival, and with Klang Forum Wien and Neue OPER Wien. Mayer is a member of the multimedia improvisation ensemble “ vbah vs liii superviced “and the association “snim”(spontaneous network for improvised music). Reduction and comprehensibility have great significance in her artistic working method. In recent years she has authored instrumental and electro - acoustic works, sound installations and improvisational concepts in the area of live electronics.
