Shaila de los Ángeles Morales de las Heras

(born on 28th August 1979 in Madrid, Spain). She studied singing under the tutelage of Robert Jeantal before touring extensively with her mother, Rocio, as a back-up singer, throughout Spain, Mexico and the United States. While continuing her studies in Miami, she recorded a series of demos including a session of songs by English songwriter Richard Daniel Roman. In 2001 she moved to Mexico and signed with BMG who later released her eponymous debut album. This album was followed by Recordando in 2006 on EMI, an album dedicated to her mother and which went straight to number one in Spain. She has also performed at the Latin Grammy Show singing "Amor Eterno". In 2009 she opted for a different gender, Ranchero. The album was a success in Mexico, the United States and Spain. After living in Mexico for more than 8 years, now resides in the city of Los Angeles (California). In 2011 she recorded the album Así.

Silvia Manco

(Casarano pr.Lecce, 24 Marzo 1975), pianista, cantante, compositrice e autrice di testi. Studia presso il Conservatorio “Tito Schipa” di Lecce e consegue il diploma presso l’“Università della Musica” di Roma. Dopo il suo debutto, nel 1997, inizia una serie di collaborazioni con prestigiosi nomi del jazz italiano. Nel 2005 nasce il trio che porta il suo nome e vince il concorso “Porsche Live”. Ha composto brani per commedie musicali e per il cd“Big city is for me”, del 2006. Registra “Boop” , “Omaggio a Romano Mussolini”e “I only have eyes for you”, allegato al numero 5/2006 della rivista “Musica Jazz”. I suoi lavori pur risentendo della matrice jazzistica e del legame con la tradizione della forma-canzone americana, si caratterizzano per il fitto dialogo ritmico e melodico tra il piano, la voce e gli altri strumenti e per gli echi della musica popolare del Salento. Nel 2006 è uscito il suo primo CD “Big City is for Me” con un’atmosfera spiccatamente dei sixties, beat e bossa nova.

Sofia Martinez

Sofia Martinez (25/10/1965, Vitoria, Spain) studied piano and composition with Carmelo Bernaola. In 1992, she moved to Paris and studied composition with Emmanuel Nunes at the Ecole Nationale de Musique in Romainville. She taught music at the Ecole Nationale de Musique in Sevran, the Ecole de Musique in Parmain and the Conservatorio de Paris XVI. She conducted the Pfizer Choir (Paris), was an organist at the “Eglise lutheriene de la Trinité” (Paris) and stayed at the Spanish Academy in Rome. In 2006, a monographic programme of her work was performed at the Centro Reina Sofia in Madrid and the Orchestra of the Community of Madrid premiered her work “Roma”. She taught composition at the Conservatorio Superior of Las Palmas (2007), and her works “Estelas en la mar”, “Une tragedie industrielle” and “Soñando” were performed by the Sinkro Group on national and international tours to Stony Brook University, New York and Amherst University, Massachusetts (USA), the Chihuahua Festival (Mexico), the E-Werk Hall in Freiburg (Germany), Italy and Spain.
