María Dolores Malumbres Carranza

(born in Alfaro, La Rioja, Spain, on 11th April 1931). She received the first degree in music theory and piano in Cordoba. Since that year, she studied piano, harmony and analysis with Fernando Remacha until 1957, obtaining the piano title as a free student at Madrid Royal Music Conservatory. She took part in composition, analysis, music graphies and contemporary piano courses with Carmelo Bernaola, Luis de Pablo and Luigi Nono, among others. Her works from that time show a non-tonal, with a strong tendency contrapuntal, and writes for various instruments solo, chamber groups and orchestras. In 2009 a book was published on her musical thinking entitled "Las claves de la música de M.ª Dolores Malumbres" written by his disciple Carlos Blanco Ruiz.

María Luisa Manchado Torres

(born in Madrid, Spain, on 7th July 1956). Composer, pianist and teacher. She obtained advanced degrees in Music Theory, Harmony, Counterpoint, Composition and Instrumentation and Piano at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid. Between 1975 and 1977 she lived in Turin (Italy), where she completed her studies in piano, harmony and composition. Between 1979 and 1984 she worked as accompanist. She was awarded a scholarship to attend the Darmstadt Contemporary Music meetings (Germany) in 1982 and the Olivier Messiaen course taught in Avignon (France) in 1986. She was assistant Vice Director of Music and Dance INAEM of the Ministry of Culture of Spain (2007 - 2008), Maitrise and DEA Paris VIII-Vincennes, France (1992 - 1995) and is currently Vice Director of the Conservatory of Music "Teresa Berganza" in Madrid. She has received commissions and requests, including Avila Conservatory of Music, Flute Orchestra of Madrid and Entrequatre Quartet, among others. She has also been invited to participate at various music festivals nationally and internationally.

Awards: She has received awards such as the Accésit of the X Organ Composition Competition "Cristóbal Halffter" for her work "Epílogo". In November 1995 her opera "El cristal de Agua Fría" received the National Award with the "Daniel Montorio" of the General Society of Authors of Spain for best musical theater composition.

María Mendoza

(born in Oviedo, Spain, on 1975) Pianist, composer and teacher. In 2001 she finished her piano and camera music studies at the Bilbao High Music Conservatory with high qualifications. A year later, she graduated in Fine Arts at the Basque University. In 2003 she moved to Galicia and began her composition studies at Vigo High Music Conservatory with Carlos Cambeiro, Joam Trillo and Pablo Beltrán. She completed her formation with monographic courses and piano master classes with Serghei Yerohkin, Joaquín Achúcarro, Luca Chiantore, and of analysis with Emilio Molina, Edson Zampronha and Teresa Catalan, of jazz and modern music, of cinematographic music analysis, and of composition with Antón García Abril. At the moment she is one of the composition teachers at Vigo High Music Conservatory. Regarding her compositions, she is author of pieces for piano, camera music, religious pieces, music for choirs, band music, for voice and piano, and music for short animation films.
