Elo Masing

(born in 1984, in Tallinn, Estonia, resident in London), composer. Her interest in composition grew out of her passion for improvisation. From an early age she started playing the piano and this later led to free improvisation on the violin. Most recently to composition studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London where she is studying with David Sawer. Elo's music has been performed throughout Europe at festivals that include Caro Amadeus and Camogli in Musica in Italy, Musik på Slottet in Stockholm, the Estonian Music Days 2005, and 2007 in Tallinn, and the international Messiaen festival From the Canyons to the Stars , the Music of Olivier Messiaen in London. Her works have recently been performed by the Tallinn-based ensemble Una Corda and the CoMA London Ensemble. Elo worked with figurative artists and created electro-acoustic music for Ene and Aino Jakobi's exhibition Vihmavarjutus (Eclipse of Rain) at the Tallinn Gallery of Architecture and Design in 2008. She has also worked with the choreographer Karmen Ong on her performance Off the Stage and created music for the animated film Proboscidian, produced in collaboration with a group of young animators. As a free improviser, she has performed at the Walestonia Festival in Cardiff with the pioneers of Estonian free improvisation Anto Pett, and Anne-Liis Poll. Her work Kellamängutoos, was written for Ensemble Una Corda , Tallinn-based group that combines three very unusual instruments-the harp, harpsichord and kannel. The Estonian chromatic kannel is a plucked string instruments related to the zither.

Awards: Elo is the recipient of the Cultural Scholarship of the Republic of Estonia (2008), the Archimedes Foundation Scholarship (2008), the Ismena Holland Award (2008), and the Erkki-Sven Tüür Award (2009).

Ester Mägi

(born in 1922, in Tallinn, Estonia), composer. She is considered the first lady of Estonian Music. She graduated from Tallinn State Conservatoire in 1952 as a student of Mart Saar, and continued with postgraduated studies in Moscow Conservatoire in 1951-1954 with Visarion Shebalin. In 1954-1984, as an associate Professor, she lectured in Music Theory at Tallinn State Conservatoire. Her works have been performed in Finland, Sweden, Germany Poland and Russia, United States and Australia. Her chamber music has been played by renowned Estonian and foreign musical collectives and artists. Her orchestral works have been conducted by Neeme Järvi, Eri Klas, Peeter Lilje, Paul Mägi. Mägi's choral songs belong to the repertoire of numerous Estonian choirs and have been awarded at many competitions, including regular choral song contest of the Eastonian National Male Choir, and the Georg Ots Music Days new vocal works contest in 1985, 1986 and 1988. Ester Mägi's work has been recorded by Melodiya, Estonian Radio, Raven Records, Finlandia Records. Three author CDs have been released: LP "Ester Mägi. Three of Song, Alba Records. She has been member of the Estonian Composers Union since 1952.

Awards: Prize of the Soviet Estonia (1980), Annual music Award of the ESSR (1985), Estonian Culture Award (1996), Lifetime Achievement Award of the Estonian National Culture Foundation (1999), Annual Award of the Cultural Endowment of Estonia (2001). In 1999 she was awarded an honorary doctorate by the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and she received the award for Estonia's best chamber composition in 1991.

Ezgi Mutlu

Actress, composer, pianist and singer was born in Istanbul, Turkey 1987. She started to record her songs to computer by using music programs and eclectic pianos when she was fourteen. Between the years of 2003-2006 she 's graduated from Istanbul state conservatory as a musical artist and in 2007 equally she's authorized by saint joseph french high school. She acted as an actress and worked as a musician in theatre projects and music album on studios like marşandiz, sony in istanbul and the theatre on the stages of universities and duru theatre. Between the years 2007-2010 she studied sociology and 2009-2010 she is accepted by university of Vienna in the department of Sociology by learning German. Now she lives in France to educate cinema audiovisual and works universally as musician and as an actress in cinema film and theatre.
