Alexandra Karastoyanova-Hermentin

(born in 1968, in Moscow, resident in Vienna) composer and pianist of Russian - Bulgarian descent. She studied piano  (D.Dimov, B. Vodenitchaorv, A. Kontarsky) and composition (B. Schaeffer) in Moscow, in Sofia (National Academy of Music) and the Salzburg Mozarteum. Piano Master classes: O. Yablonskaya, K.U. Schnabel, A. Ljubimov. Commissions: WDR, ORF, Province of Salzburg, Hams Chicago, Start Festival Salzburg. Performances: Carnegie Hall. Merkin Concert Hall. Festivals: Sounds ways St. Petersburg, ZeitTON von Vienna, Summartònar/ Faroe Islands, Nova Musika Sofia. Performers: Johannes Kalitzke, Dimo Dimov, David Bowlin, Lisa Smirnova, Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg. ICE/USA Öenm, Da Capo Chamber Players.
