Ella Jarman-Pinto

Ella Jarman-Pinto (1989, London) received her initial musical training through BlueJam Cumbria Community Music and Arts in an informal, mixed-ability peer-learning environment. Her education continued at Guildhall School of Music and Drama where she studied Composition with Emily Hall, Paul Newland, Kevin O’Connell (Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin) and Julian Philips, and singing with Kate Paterson. She graduated in 2011 with distinctions in her principle study. In August 2011 she was one of six composers throughout the UK selected for the Adopt-a- Composer scheme, where she was chosen to compose for the multi award-winning Kew Wind Orchestra. The resulting piece was premiered at Kew Festival in June 2012.
