Concha Jeréz

Was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in 1941. Multimedia artist, she studied piano at the Madrid Royal Music Conservatory and earned a degree in political science. Since 1991 she has served as Associate Lecturer at the Salamanca Fine Arts University. Since the end of the 1980s her compositions has been associated with radio, producing radiophonic art works for such radio stations. Noteworthy among her solo works are fifty large-format installations (many of them intermedia installations including video and sound among others. Between 1985 and 1990, apart from her artistic activity, she worked with Spain Education and Science Ministry in training of teaching and the integration of Arts in schools. She also worked with the Youth Institute, between 1986 and 1988, directing, advising and developing workshops and encounters between young artists.
