Suzanne Giraud

(born in Metz, France, resident in Paris) composer. She studied at The University (Applied Linguistics) and at the conservatory of Strasbourg (piano, viola, chamber music, orchestra, conducting, analysis, harmony, counterpoint). She pursued her studies at the Paris Conservatory (composition, conducting, orchestration, analysis, harmony, counterpoint), at the IRCAM (computer music), in Italy at the Accademia Chigiana (composition, conducting) and in Germany at the Internazionales Musikinstitut Darmstadt (composition). In 1982, she met Giacinto Scelsi and, in 1984-86, she was pensionary at the Villa Medici.
