Selen Gülün

Composer, pianist, vocalist and arranger was born in Mersin, Turkey 1972, started her early education in Music at Istanbul University State The conservatory. After graduating from Istanbul University Business Department at 1992, she continued her Music education at Mimar Sinan University State conservatory in Istanbul. In 1996, she received a talent scholarship to study at Berklee College of Music and graduated from Jazz Composition department at 1998, summa cum laude. She returned to Istanbul at 1998, and completed her master in music at MIAM-Istanbul Technical University Center of Advanced Studies in Music. She has been teaching Piano performance, Music Theory and Composition courses at Istanbul Bilgi University Music department since 1998. Selen Gülün works actively as a composer/performer in various styles of Contemporary Music. She has received many awards for her performances and compositions including Charles Mingus Composition Award, and the British Council Visiting Arts, Creative Collaboration in Music 2003. Her Music was performed in many places around the world including Turkey, Austria, Germany, Holland, England, Italy, France, USA: Boston, New York, Chicago, Brazil, Pakistan, Lithuania and Russia. She has released four albums in order of Just About Jazz Live (recjazz, 2006), Selen Gülün Trio Sürprizler (recjazz, 2006), Selen Gülün by Selen Gülün (re:konstruKt, 2009), and Answers (pozitif, 2010).

Sille Grǿnberg

(born in 1973, in Copenhagen, resident in Copenhagen), composer. Since 2005 she is Member of the jazz/worldgroup Wombat. She has made a lot of touring at clubs, museums of art, schools etc. In 2000 she formed and composed the trio Djanzz who made 3 CD´s for children and one for grownups. The band has played about 600 concerts in Denmark, France, China, Belgium and Estonia since the start and done several TV shows with their Junglejazz for kids. In 2001 she composed and conducted the music for the opening ceremony of The Olympic games of culture in Denmark. Among the participating artists was Le mystere de voix bulgare from Bulgaria, Tenores di Bitti from Italy and musicians from Cuba, China, Somalia and a choir with 100 voices from Denmark. In 2007 she formed and composed for the interactive band Lydland, who makes music with the audience as a free improvisation. In 2009 she composed and released her own CD in Denmark, and since that she has played 60 concerts for young people with her band. In 2011 she composed the music for the very famous TV program for kids in Denmark Rosa fra Rouladegade.

Silvia Gómez Maestro

(born in 1976 in Alcoi, Alicante, Spain). Pianist and composer. She finished her high level studies in piano and chamber music with Ana Maria Flori. Postgraduate studied in ECCA: piano with Maria Angeles Belda, harmony with Eduardo Terol, counterpoint and analysis with Carmen Verdú and currently Javier Darias in composition. She teaches chamber music at the Elda Conservatory. She has performed numerous concerts with Eduardo Terol.
Selected works: She has recorded two CD's with works by collective ECCA composers, collected in the album "De la música y el tiempo" (2009).
Awards: She won the award for best album in 2009 for "De la musica y el tiempo" by the Arts and Sciences Academy.
