Maria Guttesen

(born in 1966, in Faroe Islands Denmark, resident in Denmark), composer. She was born and raised in Faroe Islands, at the age of twenty, she moved to Aarhus, Denmark, which has been her base since. She studied rhythmical music at The Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus and works as a musician, producer, music coach, composer and a teacher and has released five albums all with different ensembles. Additionally she composes and performs for others artists.

María Isabel Garvía Serrano

(born on 8th August 1959 in Barcelona, Spain) Composer, pianist and teacher. She obtained the titles of Professor of Piano, the Superior of Music Theory, Music Theory, Transposition and Accompaniment, as well as Harmony, Counterpoint, Fugue, Composition and Instrumentation at the Superior Conservatory of Music of Barcelona. She studied Musicology with a grant from the University Foundation Agustí Pedro Pons in 1984 and obtained a grant of musical research of the Generalitat de Catalunya in 1985. She supplemented her training with courses in Ethnomusicology, Conducting and Composition and Instrumentation. She taught harmony, counterpoint and fugue at the Superior Conservatory of Music of Barcelona since 1984.

María Isabel González - Meneses

(Mai Meneses) (born on 4th January 1978 in Madrid, Spain) singer and songwriter. She grew up in Zaragoza and Jaen, and later settled in Madrid to attend college, where she received a JD degree (law) in 2000 from Universidad San Pablo CEU (Madrid). She first rose to fame as a contestant of the second season of Operación Triunfo (Spanish TV singing contest). After her participation, she released her first single, titled Vuelve. In 2005, Mai Meneses formed the band Nena Daconte in Barcelona along with musician Kim Fanlo. In 2010, Fanlo left the formation and Mai Meneses continued as the lead singer and songwriter of Nena Daconte. In 2006 she released a debut album titled "He perdido los zapatos" under their own label. The following year, she signed a record deal with Universal Music Spain and the album was re-released with a new bonus track (a remix of the song Idiota). Their second album, titled "Retales De Carnaval" (Carnival Leftovers), was released two years later. The first single, Tenia Tanto que Darte (I Had a Lot To Give You), premiered on August 23rd, 2008. As with the first record, this second album was entirely composed by Mai. On April 30, 2013, Nena Daconte released their fourth studio álbum in Spain titled "Solo muerdo por ti".

Awards: Nena Daconte´s debut album went Gold in Spain. Later on that same year, Nena Daconte was nominated for an MTV Europe Music Awards. The album "Tenia tanto que darte" became Spain's Best Selling song of 2008 on iTunes. Likewise, record sales made the album become Platinum on September 2009.
