María Soledad Fernández Lozano

(born in Spain, 1985) composer, pianist and lecturer. She studied piano and composition at the Conservatory of Music "Victoria Eugenia" of Granada with the highest grades. Also studied guitar and got pedagogical training at the University of Granada and has attended several courses with professors such as M. Kagel, Y. Nommik, N. Pasquet, C. Halffter, L. Paul, B. Casablancas among others. She is especially interested in the composition of vocal works and the use of Antigua music and Andalusian folklore. She currently teaches composition at the Conservatory of Granada.
