Patricia Fernández

(born in Granada, Spain, 30th March 1978) Songwriter. Patricia Fernandez began her musical career in early 2001 when she wrote "Movimiento musical Puerta Verde". In 2002 Patricia began collaborating with the University of Granada, which performs concerts in the city of Málaga in the Summer courses. Also, she participed for several years in "Cantan en el sur", organized by the University of Jaén, with artists as Pedro Guerra, Olga Román, Clara Montes or Catalan Marina Rossell. In late 2002 she recorded her first CD entitled "Vida" and in October 2010 recorded their second CD entitled "Sin miedo a volar". She currently combines her work as a teacher-psychologist with concerts throughout Spain.

Awards: 1st prize in Nomadas 2001 (Malaga); Award for "best musical accompaniment" in the Certamen de Elche 2004, finalist in 2007 and semifinalist in 2005; 2nd prize in the Festivarchena 2007 (Archena-Murcia); Classified 2nd in Espacio Libre 2002 (Granada); Classified 4th in the Certamen de Almensilla 2008 (Sevilla); Finalist in Festival en marcha 2010 (Cadiz); Finalist in the Certamen de esplugues de Llobregat 2008 (Barcelona); Finalist in the Certamen Villa Trovadora 2007 (Milagro-Navarra); Finalist in the Certamen de Melilla 2002 and 2003 and a semifinalist in the 2004, 2006 and 2007; Semifinalist in the Certamen de Horta- Guinardó 2009 (Barcelona); Semifinalist in the Certamen de canción de autor del IAJ 2001 and 2006; Semifinalist in the Certamen del Pay Pay 2007 and 2008 (Cadiz); Semifinalist in the Certamen de Alameda 2003 (Málaga)
