Lei Feng Johansson

(born in Zheng Zhou, China, 1971, resident Gothenburg, Sweden) started playing the piano at the age of five. In 1988-1993 she studied composition at Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing with professor Ming-xin Du. In 1996-1997 she did post graduate studies at the same school with professor Xiao-gang Ye. In 1999 she went to Gothenburg, Sweden in order to study with professor Ole Lützow-Holm at the Academy of Music and Dram in Gothenburg. She graduated with a diploma in 2004. In 1998 her cello concerto, The Mood of the End of the Year, won the Prize of the Audience at the 7th Composition Competition in Taiwan. Since 1988 Johansson has composed 30 pieces in the range from solo pieces to orchestral works.
