Paola Fortini

Anche conosciuta come Paola London (Roma 31 Luglio 1965), vocalist, compositrice jazz, autrice di testi, songwriter. Ha iniziato giovanissima a suonare la chitarra, prima come autodidatta poi frequentando corsi di chitarra classica e in seguito jazz. Nel biennio 1988 – 1990 ha frequentato la Saint Louis College of Musica a Roma, studiando canto con Cinzia Spata ed armonia ed arrangiamenti con Bruno Tommaso. Nello stesso periodo ha partecipato alle “Clinics estive” del Berklee College of Music di Boston, all’”Umbria Jazz” (Perugia) frequentando tra l’altro le classi di improvvisazione tenute da Bob Stoloff. In seguito ha studiato canto lirico con Fausta Corti Coppetti e Adriana Giunta ed ha intrapreso un seminario di canto indiano con Sangeeta Chatterjee presso l’Istituto Interculturale di Studi Musicali di Venezia, e i corsi di musica popolare della tradizione italiana con Giovanna Marini presso la Scuola Popolare di Musica di Testaccio. Ha insegnato in numerose scuole romane, tra le quali l'Università della Musica, l'Istituto Musicale Cherubini e la Percentomusica. Ha debuttato nel 1988 e ha lavorato con molti importanti protagonisti del jazz italiano. Con il suo quartetto ha partecipato a “Verona Jazz” nel 2004, a “Controcanto-Donne in Jazz” nel 2005 e nel 2006. Nel 2003 il suo brano “I should Forget” è stato inserito nella compilation statunitense “Jazz Lounge” edita dalla Water music, accanto a Norah Jones e Chet Baker. Nell'agosto 2008 è stata invitata con il suo gruppo al “Nu Note Lounge Fest” di Mosca, rassegna che conta importanti artisti provenienti da varie parti del mondo. Tra i vari dischi ha inciso “Quiet Skies”. Numerosi dei suoi brani sono inseriti in compilation internazionali edite da prestigiose case discografiche tra cui la Sony e Warner ed includono: “I Should Forget”, “Love Can Sing”, “Animanimale”, “Colors”, “I Still Miss You”, “Amor para soñar”, “Talkin' to the moon”, “In your eyes”.

Patricia Fernández

(born in Granada, Spain, 30th March 1978) Songwriter. Patricia Fernandez began her musical career in early 2001 when she wrote "Movimiento musical Puerta Verde". In 2002 Patricia began collaborating with the University of Granada, which performs concerts in the city of Málaga in the Summer courses. Also, she participed for several years in "Cantan en el sur", organized by the University of Jaén, with artists as Pedro Guerra, Olga Román, Clara Montes or Catalan Marina Rossell. In late 2002 she recorded her first CD entitled "Vida" and in October 2010 recorded their second CD entitled "Sin miedo a volar". She currently combines her work as a teacher-psychologist with concerts throughout Spain.

Rachel Fortin (Ursula)

(born in 1980, in Prague, Czech Republic, resident in Zurich, Switzerland), composer. At the age of seven she began to study the violin at the Music School of Prague and later at the Jan Neruda's High School for Music. From year 2000 she studied Violin at the Prague Conservatoire, where she graduated with Alban Berg Violin Concert with the symphony orchestra in autumn 2005. In the year 2002 she started studying composition at the Music Academy of Prague, Czech Republic at Professor Milan Slavicky. Her diploma project Double Concerto for Violin, Violoncello and Orchestra. Philharmonic Orchestra of Hradec Kralove was played in 2005; she played the solo violin part. Since 2005 she lives and continues in studies of violin in Zurich. She has composed new pieces which were here also performed. Fortin's latest large scale composition and the significant success was the orchestral composition
