Anna Einarsson

(born in Uppsala 1978, resident Stockholm/Sweden) is a singer, multi- instrumentalist and composer. Einarsson studied at Framnäs Folkhögskola, Skurups Folkhögskola, The Royal College of Music in Stockholm and at De Montford University in Leicester, England. On her three CDs with the group Anagram she has moved between jazz, art music and multi- layered electronics. Meetings between different art forms are central in Einarsson's music. Outside the group, she has composed music for dance performances, children's choirs, tram journeys, string orchestras and big bands. Her music has been performed both at the big jazz festivals in Sweden and at the Musica Viva Festival in Lisbon. Her piece Reveries for orchestra, electronics, voice, piano and double bass was commissioned by Dalasinfoniettan and premiered 2009. The work is also released on an album with the same name. In 2012, Einarsson's chamber opera P.S. Jag kommer snart hem was premiered in Malmö.
