Tzveta Dimitrova

(born in Bulgaria, 1968). Following her study of music theory, from which she graduated with distinction, she continued her studies in composition at the Sofia Academy of Music under Prof.Tekeliev and later under prof. Urbanner at the University at the University of Music and the Performing Arts in Vienna. Winner of the Theodor Körner Award, the UBC Special Prize for Composition  and the Öestig prize, Dimitrova  has received scholarships from the Thyll Foundation and the Tokyo Foundation. She performs internationally as pianist and composer and her oeuvre comprises compositions for orchestra, chamber music, children’s choir, etc.
