Evdokija Danajloska

(born in 1973, in Tetovo, Macedonia, resident in Gagny, France), composer. Evdokija Danajloska was featured at the Macedonian Music Days as part of the Young Composer's Forum as early as 15. She studied piano, composition, harmony, counterpoint, orchestration, and conducting at the Music Academy in Skopje, where she received her diploma in composition in 1997. In 1998 she moved to Paris to continue her studies of composition with Gérard Grisey and Marco Stroppa, and improvisation with Alain Savouret, Rainer Bosch et Alexandros Markéas at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. In 2003 the reading panel of IRCAM and the Ensemble Intercontemporain selected her to participate in the yearly session in composition and computer music. Master classes and workshops include those at the Foundation Royaumont (with Brian Ferneyhough, Stefano Gervasoni and Brice Pauset), and at the International Bartok Festival in Szombathely (with Brian Ferneyhough and Marco Stroppa). In June 2009, she participated in a workshop of composition and orchestration with the SWR Radio-Symphony Orchestra (Stuttgart) with Matthias Pintscher, Wolfgang Rihm and Marco Stroppa. In November 2013. she participated at the conference "Tradition et invention dans la composition musicale autour de la Méditerranée, University Paris 8 (France). In May 2011 she presented her work at the conference Les chemins de la voix (University Paris 8), entitled The voice in the dialogue with oneself. In February 2010 she performed her work Canto civile, for six voices by Neue Vokalsolisten; Text: Pier Paolo Pasolini (To transhumanize and organize) at Festival Neue Musik ECLAT (Stuttgart, Germany). In June 2008 she gave a conference on Speech: a sound model for musical composition and performance at the symposium Expressivity in Music and Speech (IRCAM, Paris).
