Victoria Cop

(born in 1979, in Zagreb, resident in Zagreb), composer. She belongs to the youngest generation of Croatian composers. In Zagreb she graduated in composition from the Academy of Music. She holds an MA 2003 year at the Music School in Utrecht, Netherlands 2007 the year was awarded to composer Stephen Šulek act 2007 year. She completed her studies in composition in 2003 at the Academy of Music in Zagreb. In 2005 finished her master's in composition at the Faculty of Music in Utrecht, and in the Netherlands (Hoog School voor de Kunsten Utrecht). During her studies she was a fellow of the County of Zagreb, and in the academic year 2004/2005 she obtained a Huygens scholarship . Her compositions have been performed both in Croatia as well as abroad. Also works as a composer and with theater projects She became member of the Croatian Association of professionals (artists), she began to work as a teacher, first as an assistant at the Art Academy in Osijek (University J.Strossmayer), and since 2010 as a lecturer at the Institute for the church music of the Faculty of Theology in Zagreb.

Awards: Adieu was premiered 2006 at the Music Biennale Zagreb, where she performed the Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Nikše Bareze; 3rd prize in Reichenau (2001) for the compositions Out of mind and For four hands; award of the Rector for orchestral composition Sjene potonulih boja executioner,2003; award of the Foundation Stjepan Sulek in 2007, for the orchestral composition Adieu; the Foundation award Rudolf and Margita Matz (2010).
