Paola Calderone

(born 17th September 1971 in Milan, Italy) composer. She graduated in piano and composition with Sandro Gorli and Alessandro Solbiati from the "Giuseppe Verdi" Conservatory in Milan. Then she graduated in composition in Strasbourg with Ivan Fedele and at the "Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia" with Azio Corghi. In 2000 she was selected to participate in the Seventh Young composers meeting organized by the Gaudeamus Foundation. In 2003 she attended the composition course at the "Accademia Chigiana" with Azio Corghi and in 2005 she was awarded the prestigious scholarship "Goffredo Petrassi" for composition, established by the Presidency of the Republic.
