Nina Sveistrup Clausen

(born in 1982, in Herlev, Denmark, resident in Denmark), composer. She was born into a family of musicians. Her mentor and great inspiration was her father, well known composer and jazz pianist, Thomas Clausen. She studied classical singing during seven years at the Academy of Music in Southern Denmark and gained a Master's degree. She has had a career primarily as a freelance opera singer, but loves to compose songs and arrangements for her own gothic metal band called Lily and the Wicked Strings, that has a string trio added to the rock line-up. Her influences are equally classical and heavy rock; The Gathering, W.A. Mozart, Nightwish, Purcell, Rammstein, J.S. Bach, C. Debussy, Within Temptation, F. Schubert and so on.
