Maria Laura Bigliazzi

(born 30th March 1970 in Siena, Italy), singer, pianist and arranger. After a solid classical education, she studied jazz singing with Bob Stoloff, Sheila Jordan, Mark Murphy and in "Siena Jazz" with M.Grossi and Klaus Lessmann. She has performed in various festivals: in 1999 with "Quartetto Acustico Latino" at the "Rassegna del Jazz Italiano" in Siena, at the "Terni Jazz Festival" and also at the "Lecce Art Festival 2003" with the vocal quartet "Deem quartet", winning the award for best group. She has been teaching since 1994.

Maria Luisa Balza

(Born in 4th July 1970, in Rimini, Italy), composer. Active in Rome for many years, she is a composer, pianist, organist and teacher.She studied piano with Guido Zangheri, graduating at the Conservatory “Gioacchino Rossini” in Pesaro in 1989, organ at the Pontificio Istituto di Musica Sacra in Rome with Alberto Cerroni, and composition with Italo Bianchi and Valentino Miserachs Grau. she graduated in composition at the “Alfredo Casella”Conservatory  in Aquila and has taken improvementcourses with Azio Corghi and Luis Bacalov at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena. She is teacher of counterpoint, contrappunto, fugue, and composition at the Pontificio Istituto di Musica Sacra in Rome. She has performed  both as a pianist and organist in Italy, France, Holland and Mexico, participating in important exhibitions such as the " Sagra musicale malatestiana."
Selected works: She has written sacred music on commission, including "Ave verum" for mixed choir of four voices for the Synod of Bishops in Rome – 2005; "Nel chiaro firmamento", hymn for the beatification of Sister Maria Rosa Pellesi (Rimini 2007); " Cantico dei Cantici"for mezzo-soprano and string quartet. She is the author of chamber and orchestral music, including: "Ricercando" and the musical fairy tale "La piccola figlia del mare" (2005), "Songs of Emily Dickinson" for mezzo-soprano, flute, trumpet, violin and piano (2008), "La bottega dell’Orefice", opera in 3 acts su libretto, taken from the collected works by Karol Wojtyla (2009).

(Rimini 4 luglio 1970), attiva a Roma da molti anni, compositrice, pianista, organista, didatta. Ha studiato pianoforte con Guido Zangheri, diplomandosi al Conservatorio Gioacchino Rossini di Pesaro nel 1989, organo presso il Pontificio Istituto di Musica Sacra di Roma con Alberto Cerroni, e composizione con Italo Bianchi e Valentino Miserachs Grau. Si è diplomata in composizione presso il Conservatorio Alfredo Casella dell‟Aquila ed ha seguito corsi di perfezionamento con Azio Corghi e Luis Bacalov presso l‟Accademia Chigiana di Siena. È docente di armonia, contrappunto, fuga e composizione presso il Pontificio Istituto di Musica Sacra di Roma. Svolge attività concertistica sia come pianista che come organista in Italia, Francia, Olanda e in Messico partecipando a rassegne importanti quali la “Sagra musicale malatestiana”. Ha scritto musica sacra su commissione, fra cui: “Ave verum” per coro misto a quattro voci per il sinodo dei vescovi Roma 2005, “Nel chiaro firmamento”, inno per la beatificazione di Suor Maria Rosa Pellesi (Rimini 2007), “Cantico dei Cantici” per mezzosoprano e quartetto d‟archi. È autrice di musica da camera ed orchestrale: “Ricercando” e la fiaba musicale “La piccola figlia del mare” (2005), “Songs of Emily Dickinson” per mezzosoprano, flauto, tromba, violino e pianoforte (2008), “La bottega dell‟Orefice”, opera in 3 atti su libretto, tratto proprio dall‟omonimo lavoro di Karol Wojtyla (2009).

Maria Rosaria Buonfrate

(born 26th May 1963,Taranto, Italy), keyboard player, pianist, singer, composer, author of texts. She studied singing, piano and jazz with Gianni Lenoci and Tiziana Ghiglioni. Finalist in national and international competitions, she participated in the radio program "Anima Jazz". She has worked with Vito Di Modugno, Guido Di Leone, Giovanni Tommaso, Tony Scott, Nucci Guerra.
