Hélène Breschand

(born in Paris), composer, improviser, harpist. She won a gold medal and awards at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris with Brigitte Sylvestre, She teaches harp, and class creation (improvisation and graphic scores, musical theater) at the Conservatoire in Paris 6th.  Some of her scores are published by Billaudot, and she hosts a collection of contemporary scores "le fil rouge" published Misterioso (Leduc distribution).She is co-author of a book of contemporary harp published by Minerve. (http: www.lessignesdelarc.org). She is a highly versatile musician who works across several genres, from contemporary music to Jazz. She has a career as both a soloist and a chamber musician and her works include improvisation, musical theatre and the visual arts. She works with composers such as Luciano Berio, Emmanuel Nunes, Yoshihisa Taira, David Toop, and collaborates regularly with theatre and dance companies. She is also a co-founder of the group Laborintus. She took interest in musical construction that could represent the hinge between the written music and improvisation. Consequently, the notion of temporality and the tactile sense will interfere in her approach of the instrument enriching her relation to the written music. By putting her at risk, the improvisation enables her to stabilise, to recognise herself and to stenghten herself. Sensitive to the inclusion of multiple artistic disciplines such as visual arts, dance, film, light, text, theater activities, she develops a compositional approach, focusing on graphic scores and combinations in form games: synopsis. A way to reconnect with the desire of a total art.

Ida Bach Jensen

(12/04/1973, Copenhagen) is active as both a composer and musician with her own special sound, mixing acoustic and electronic effects and live looping, delivering the soundtrack to film, dance, theatre, exhibitions and festivals. Her works for double-bass and electronics have been performed at The Chambertronica Festival (Swedish National Radio), Fokus Video Festival at Nikolaj Contemporary Art Center, Copenhagen Design Festival, Aarhus Festival, Danish National Radio, National Gallery of Denmark, Music Theatre in Copenhagen, Concert hall in Arhus, Danish Film institute, Charlottenborg Kunsthal, as well as museums, churches and clubs. She published the CD A Gunnar Ekelöf Soundtrack in 2009, with music inspired by the poetry of Gunnar Ekelöf (Swedish writer 1907-1968). She studied the double bass with Francois Rabbath in Paris 1995-2000 and has received national grants for her music. She is a member of DJBFA, Danish Musicians Union, Koda and Danish Society of Soloists.

Ilaria Biagini

(Italy) gained degrees in Piano and Flute at the Conservatory "L.Cherubini" in Florence and graduated in Jazz ("Tradizioni musicali extra-europee indirizzo per cantanti") at the Conservatory "L. Ghedini" in Cuneo. She also attended seminars in jazz improvisation and piano. As a soloist she has performed in "Lucca Jazz Donna" (2006), "Cuneo Jazz Donna" (2010), jazz concert "Le donne autrici nel jazz e nel pop" (Fossola La Spezia 2010), concert "Quando la musica è donna" (2011), "ControCanto: Donne in Jazz" (Frascati, 2011). She has also collaborated since 1997 with Roberto Vecchioni as multi-instrumentis and vocalist (soloist and in the chorus) for the recordings of the CD Canzoni e cicogne, Il lanciatore di coltelli, Parole e canzone, In-cantus; in 2006-2007 with Gianni Morandi for the concerts in Turin, Athens, Milan, S. Vincent amd Toronto; as multi-instrumentis and vocalist with the jazz pianist Riccardo Arrighini in 2010 for the project "Verdi in Jazz". She played with the folk group "Miniera Matilde", "Enseble Fransiska", for the musical Un mondo ideale with the "Scuola Civica" di Capannori, and in duo with Carlo Facchini. She has also been active as teacher of music and flute in different Italian schools since 1997.
