Sophie Agnel

(born in 1964, Paris), pianist, composer, improviser. She studied classical music and jazz, then gradually plunged into the field of free improvisation and plays with improvisers like Doneda Michel, Olivier Benoit, Daunik Lazro Christine Wodrascka Jerome Noetinger, John Butcher, Axel Dorner, Erik M, etc. In parallel, she created two shows for children: the first Le mouton cachalot with Catherine Jauniaux (voice) and Juliet Agnel (images), and the second Le Piano_Marteau. She wrote music and played on stage Testimony of Charles Reznikov directed by Jules Henri Julien with Victor Ponomarev. She participated in the show of Josef Nadj etc. with Josef Najd, Peter Gemza, Phil Minton and Roger Turner. She built an electro-acoustic instrument to measure a "cordophone" with the help of the luthier Lawrence Paquier and GMEA of Albi.
