Maria Dolores Arinero Carreño

(born 1973 in Cuenca, Spain) composer, flautist and teacher. She began her musical studies when she was 10 years old. She obtained her Professional Piano and Flute Superior Title at Murcia’s High Music Conservatory. She studied counterpoint and fugue with María Dolores Aguilar and composition with Manuel Seco de Arpe. She holds a BA in History and Science of Music from the University of La Rioja and performs advanced courses in musical analysis with Jan D'Haene, Yvan Nommick and Benet Casablancas, flute with teachers Istvan Matuz and Kate Hill, and symphonic composition with Anton Garcia Abril, Odon Alonso and Thomas Marco. She currently holds the Chair of Musicology at the Jaén Music Conservatory.
