María José Arenas

(born 1983 in Huelva, Spain) composer, pianist and teacher. She studied at the Sevilla Music Conservatory where she obtained her composition degree. She was taught by Mauricio Sotelo, Cesar Camarero, José María Sánchez Verdú, David del Puerto, among others.She had scholarships for the major national composition courses, such as the “Villafranca del Bierzo International Composition Course”, “Composition Chair Manuel de Falla” or the “Molina de Segura Contemporary Music Festival”. Since 2003, her works have been performed at festivals, courses and specialized in contemporary music concerts, within the overall national picture.
