Irene Aranda

Was born in Andalusia; the pianist and composer Irene Aranda has emerged as a new value in the Spanish jazz scene. She began her musical training when she was seven years old with her maternal grandparents. Graduated at the Granada Music Conservatory and completed her classical training attending to piano and composition Masterclasses with Gerardo Lopez Laguna, Guillermo Gonzalez and Pilar Bilbao, among others. She began self-taught in jazz and later she studied with Peter Zack, Chano Dominguez, Pete Churchill, Perico Sambeat, Tony Reedus, and so on.Her first work as a leader Interfrequency 23 7, has brought great critical acclaim and she has taken part in numerous festivals.
