Gökçen Dilek Acay

Violinist, free improviser and concept artist was born in Istanbul, Turkey, in 1983. She studied at Yildiz Teknik University, Art and Design Faculty as a Violin Major. During her studies she won the Erasmus scholarship for the Franz Liszt Musik Hochschule, Germany in 2006. She performed with free improvisation bands Islak Kopek, Ways - Senol Kucukyildirim, Miam Caz Toplulugu, and Stringswille Project of Emin Findikoglu. After her graduation she started her Diploma degree at the Bauhaus University, Weimar. She performed with dancers, visual artists and collaborative mixed performance events in USA, Germany, Turkey, Italy, Denmark, and China. She is interested in working with objects, photography, video and performance art. She has participated in many solo and group exhibitions in Istanbul, Copenhagen, Minneapolis, Erfurt, Ilsalmi, Weimar, and Pekin. Her Free Improvisation live concert album was released from Deform music with Limbo, and Sevket Akinci in 2009. She created the 'new music' performance band 'On the Edge' in 2010.


Hanni Autere

(born in 1969 in Espoo, Finland, resident in Tuusula, Finland), composer. She studied classical and pop music, played and sang in several school bands and orchestras. She studied violin, accordion, woodwinds and folk singing. Her teachers were Arto Järvela, Sven Ahlbäck and Henrik Botvay in violin, Susanne Rosenberg in singing, Harry Bent and Anna Kaisa Liedes in woodwinds. She worked with the Loituma band, and sang in the Deilin and Neemi bands which play Irish music. As a violinist in La Charanga playing Cuban music, as well as the folk dance group Kiperä. She works as a freelance musician and music teacher. In April 2002, she participated in the composition concert at the Sibelius Academy.
